Engage + Inspire + Connect

Lecture Series

From political and social turmoil in the Middle East, to the history of the San Francisco waterfront, to a yearly panel discussion about the state of women in the workplace, our lecture series feature expert speakers sharing their unique insights on highly relevant topics to our members and the wider world. Enhanced by the intellectual curiosity of a Stanford audience and paired with wine and snacks, these daytime and evening events are organized exclusively by the club for members, alumni, and their guests. Lectures are usually available by zoom, check specific event listings for details.

Brunches and Dinners

Our quarterly potluck dinners and brunches bring together stimulating conversations, great food, and new friends. These small simultaneous potluck meals take place in the homes of Stanford women throughout San Francisco and are open to members and prospective members of the club. ​Attendees enjoy sharing a meal with a supportive extended family of fascinating women who have done such a wide range of interesting things that it's hard to come away not feeling inspired and energized. 

Cultural Events

From nights at the San Francisco Opera for all Stanford alumni, to private collection art tours exclusively for club members, our club offers a diverse range of cultural experiences amongst relaxed, friendly company. Whether a young alum is attending her first opera, or a seasoned alum is critiquing contemporary art at the Jules Maeght gallery in Hayes Valley at our Art and Wine event, we aim to create accessible, enlightening, and social experiences around the appreciation of art and culture right in the heart of SF. 

THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

We help promising women afford their Stanford educations.

Through the efforts of generations of members, our club has established an endowed scholarship fund that supports the Stanford education of women from San Francisco. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and grateful for the generous contributions of our members.

Annual Art Tour

This highly coveted yearly event offers members a truly unique experience with art. Ranging from touring exclusive collections in private homes from Pacific Heights to Hillsborough, to corporate art collections that are not on display to the public, to private tours of major museums with expert curators, this event is always followed by a social group lunch, delivering fun, food, and friends alongside our glimpse not only into the art itself, but into how we as modern humans live in its midst. 

The Holiday Party

This annual December event brings members together to celebrate the season with food, wine, and friends. Hosted in the beautiful home of one of the club's board members, this event is meant as a "thank you" to our members for their engaged participation throughout the year.

We're always brainstorming new events. From follow-up dinners on a topic of interest from a lecture, to historical hikes hosted by local experts, members of the club get exclusive access to events limited to smaller groups. When you register for the club, your email will automatically be included in our exclusive events mailing list.

Standard Annual Membership Fee: We're waiving membership fees during the Covid pandemic!

We work hard to create unique events at the lowest cost possible so that alumni can participate, regardless of their financial status. ​All of our membership fees go directly to our scholarship fund, and supporting the cost of events, making them more accessible for everyone.

Signing up for the club entitles members to discounted rates on all paid events, and access to additional exclusive events, such as one-off dinners, that are free.

Membership is open to alumni of Stanford University, and their significant others and parents. Qualification for membership is validated and managed through the Stanford Alumni Association.
